End Of Summer Days
Philly
I took a trip to Philly recently. I figured I might as well take advantage of the privilege I get to stay at HI hostels for free. I invited my girlfriend to come along and we drove up. We arrived to the city after our bladders were about to explode! We both share Small Bladder Syndrome, fortunately we made it to a bathroom. we also did our usual round of the best vegetarian food ever at Govinda's. After all that excitement we made it to the hostel, they greeted us in welcoming arms and informed us they were having a guided pub crawl that night, so we hit a lot of the local bars in Old Town and ended the night with an exciting round of karaoke as I drunkenly arm wrestled the bar tenderand lost.
The next morning we woke up to get a delicious breakfast at Green Eggs Cafe. The service was fantastic and the food was exceptional especially for a vegetarian. We continued our morning by taking a boat ride over to Camden, NJ. We walked along the pier side, visited Rutgers (which is where I spent nights guzzling 4 Locos with my cousin while he was attending there), and relaxing in the park. We made our way back to Philly to have a flight of beers at 2nd Story Brewing. It was an awesome hangout with a wonderful taste of beers. One of the main reasons we went to Philly is because I got an invite to Magic Hat's launch to their new beer Electric Peel. We made our way over to the venue had a drink, was given free IPA t-shirts, and started heading back to the hostel where we met a guy out front of the hostel teaching people how to use the "stand still scooter". It was a fun experience, it was also cool because the hostel had a 30 pack of beers for the guest to drink up with, so after lots, and lots of drinking, and successful attempts of riding an electric standstill scooter we decided to call it a night.
The next we woke up, got breakfast at the Reading Terminal Market, and visited the infamous LOVE sign, we walked around the city one last time stopped and got a slice of pizza at Rosa's. We got in the car and headed to DC which is where our dog Bailey was being dog sitted at, after hanging in DC for a short bit we made our way back to Baltimore and called it a trip.

Running
Hey! I've running like crazy recently (literally)... you can see my runs and track your own on Strava. Why am I doing this? I'm training for the Baltimore Half Marathon. I've had this app for 3 weeks...so far I've ran
Week 1: 13.1 miles
Week 2: 26.2 miles
Week 3: 13.1 miles
If you're interested in running with me or challenging me in a run anytime in the near future, reach out to me on Strava.
WindJammerLast minute my friend contacted me asking if I was available to flyer, judging from previous times he's compensated me in some kind of way by helping him. I accepted this offer, this time around he offered me and my girlfriend tickets to get inside WindJammer for free! All we had to do was flyer after the event. This was a very exciting offer to me because I got to see musicians I really enjoy starting off with Bond Street Distract, followed by an inbetween set by James Nasty, as well as Ed Schradder's Music Beat, and of course who we were most excited to see Dan Deacon. His set was phenomenal. It stole the show in my opinion. I can't say enough great things about it. The best part was ending with Crystal Cat. It felt as if I was revisiting my youth seeing him perform that track. We stayed for Beach House, and got to hear their set which was pretty solid. It put me in a daze, but it was still nice to see. We left the venue as Future Islands started setting up (I'm not a fan, and don't care for them much at all). We made our way back home to grab a few things, and headed back to the outside of Pier 6 to do 10 minutes of flyering and head back home, from a free fantastic show.
Notable news:
I performed as Pelvis Presley at Brother's Music during Artscape weekend. A great crowd appeared, and the show went amazing. It was a fun set.
I performed as Pelvis Presley again playing a waverly basement show/party opening for Known Ghost. This set was also very amazing with lots of friends stopping by to do some sing along action to past hit TSE singles, and new PP singles.
I recorded a music video for Pelvis Presley's new single "Hot Hot Hot", you can watch it here!
Hot Hot Hot

The Shaky Experience had the wonderful opportunity of playing Reverb Club, it was very exciting playing with long time bandmate/best friend Thom Merrill. We played a killer set, was an awesome line up.

Kim and I both won 2 tickets to both The Wombats and Purity Ring concert at Rams Head. We won these by spinning a wheel at WTMD's First Thursday concerts in the park on separate occasions.
Her and I also recently bought tickets to Landmark Music Festival to see The Strokes, Chromeo, Dan Deacon, etc. I sent out a tweet about my excitement to see The Strokes, than their official Twitter page Retweeted me and 100 favorites and Retweets later by Strokes fans I was even more excited!
Kim's birthday was the end of August so I bought her tickets for her and I to go see Death Cab For Cutie and Explosions In The Sky at Merriweather August 12th, we ended the night before her birthday with some karaoke in Baltimore, which was recorded than later her mothers shared my video on her own personal Facebook page. She must be proud of how good her daughter's boyfriend can sing and dance
After Hours Karaoke
After a year of fully committing to The Baltimore BNote with lots of progress in the time I have volunteered I finally hit the jackpot by getting The BNote on LED Baltimore, after discussing it with Will Shanklin for weeks, it finally came true!
Lastly we had a bonfire party out back of our house catering to our closest Baltimore friends chowing down on smores, fruit, and veggie dogs.
Ocean City
I called my grandparents in Delaware to see how they were doing to find out my grandfather has been diagnosed with cancer (Adenocarcinoma). I told my girlfriend and immediately we made the decision to visit him the next day. After a 2 hour drive we arrived. It was very upsetting to see my (diseased) mother's father laying in his death bad waiting to die.
After hours of sitting around with him, we left to go visit my cousin and his girlfriend. They took us out to cheer us up. They took us to Mojo's for a flight of drinks and pizza, they then drove us down to Ocean City for a few drinks at Fish Tales, we ended the night at Burley Oak with drinks and made our way back to his house for some Walgreens frozen pizza, and 6 pack of Red Headed Stepchild.
We woke up and made our way out to Assateague, we layed on the beach, and hung out with the horses. It was very relaxing, we stopped at Tall Tales for lunch, then Kim and I made our way back to my grandparents to say our final goodbye's as I can only assume this will be the last time I will my grandfather. It was a great trip, with a sad ending.
